About Our Founder
Angel Solaye is not just the founder of Sincerely, LOTUS—she is the heartbeat behind it. A visionary force, a multidimensional creator, and a fiercely intentional woman, Angel brings a rare blend of intuition, lived wisdom, and unapologetic truth to everything she builds. Born and raised in New Jersey, her roots run deep—nurtured by a multicultural, multi-faith upbringing that shaped her expansive worldview. Catholic school lessons mingled with Islamic teachings at home and Southern Black Baptist traditions with her grandmother. These early experiences ignited her lifelong pursuit of self-liberation—not just spiritually, but across every layer of identity.
Her path hasn’t been linear—it’s been transformational. Angel walked away from confining structures and expectations to carve a lane entirely her own. As a free spirit and a strategist, a creative and a guide, she embodies the duality of softness and fire. She doesn’t just talk about freedom—she lives it, and invites others to do the same.
At her core, Angel is a mother first. Her greatest work is building a legacy her children can feel, not just inherit. That calling has shaped her approach to business, leadership, and community care. Her entrepreneurial journey began long before adulthood. At just twelve years old, she claimed her first win—first place in a business competition for a handmade greeting card company. Since then, her creativity has taken many forms: screenwriting, acting, business, publishing, and now, leading a movement. She has authored three books (with more on the way) and is the visionary behind multiple ventures—including a forthcoming media company that centers Black imagination and truth.
Angel isn’t afraid to wear many hats because she is many things—Libra sun, Virgo moon, Scorpio rising—graceful yet intense, structured yet untamed. She thrives in the world of sci-fi, musicals, and bold storytelling, drawn to creators like Jordan Peele, Mara Brock Akil, and Donald Glover who, like her, are committed to rewriting narratives for the culture. She values aesthetic beauty, emotional honesty, and creating things that matter.
